Eric Landsness, MD, PhD
Assistant Professor of Neurology, Sleep Medicine
Eric Landsness is assistant professor of neurology and sleep medicine. He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Washington in Electrical Engineering and his MD and PhD degree from the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. Following medical school, Landsness completed his neurology residency and sleep fellowship at Washington University. He then joined the Department of Neurology in 2017.
Landsness’ current research interests are in the interaction of sleep and stroke. His lab focuses on studying the potential of sleep interventions to help people who have recovered from stroke. He is currently running a clinical trial looking at treating sleep apnea in patients after they have had a stroke.
In his spare time, Landsness likes to ride bikes, hike and fish. He is married and has two daughters.
